Physical disabilites/limitation and intense spiritual training
I was asked this question. Do you believe that peace of mind through meditation it is also necessary for the physical body to be exercised too, or could you do it if you were a para/quadriplegic and still get the same result?
Even people with physical disabilities can use very effective meditative techniques. As long as you can breath, you can find a way to meditate. When one is putting an extra focus on breathing one is able to meditate. With meditative type physical exercises, it just takes putting the degree of effort into it that challenges one to the point that one has to shut down the mind in order to put all one is able into it. People can use what ever muscles they have that function for them and in which they can safely exercise. One does have to focus on being careful and not injuring oneself no mater what condition ones body is in.
The extreme type of meditative exercise I do requires a body that enables one to handle it. The spirit can protect the abilities that it requires to serve what purpose or role that is really important to it/you. I require a certain body in a certain condition to do what I do. I have put an extreme effort into ensuring my body was healthy enough to perform this role I have as a spiritual pioneer. I do not negate the value of having a really fit and healthy body and doing what one can to protect ones body so that it can perform at the level that will bring the results one needs to succeed the really high level one desires or feels a strong need to. The spirit can do amazing things to protect what it feels is its most vital resources.
People with physical disabilities may not be able to do the most intense types of spiritual training, but can connect with those who do and become a very valuable conduit to the spiritual energy and understanding that people who do this type spiritual training provide. People who have very strong physical/mental limitations are in a unique position to develop great empathy for those who are really struggling spiritually, which gives them an advantage over those who fit in quite well in this world. I am “differently abled” (limited visual memory and finer motor skills)myself, but in a way that actually makes me do extremely well at the spiritual pioneer role I have taken on in this world. So I tend to be really sensitive to those who have limitations of different kinds and always take them into account in regard to how my meditative techniques can be altered to meet their individual needs.
Here is a link to the type of meditative walking I do, which also goes into stationary meditative techniques at the end of the blog post. One can be creative and figure out what will work for best for you individually taking in account any physical or other limitations you may have:

Just “being” is not enough spiritually!
We live in a world that has so many serious problems, we do not need people completely lacking in empathy for the plight of others.. We need people who see the importance of contributing to improving the conditions of the world, not people just content to just exist here. One can not truly have empathy for others with problems in this world and not feel compelled to contribute in what ever way one can to improve the conditions that exist in this world. We can not help everyone, but we should do our part to improve the conditions in this world so that less people are being adversely affected by them. Those who are satisfied with just “being” and being in a disconnected blissful state, and that are not into doing anything to contribute to making this world a better place, are the ones that devalue the importance of the physical reality we exist in along with those that are really struggling to deal with the serious problems that exist here.
Emotions power the spiritual, and really spiritually developed people can handle the toughest and most challenging emotions that this world and its problems create. People who tune out this reality, so that they can just “be”, are the ones that need to have or create a strong spiritual bubble to protect them from the challenging reality that exists outside themselves in a world that to most so obviously has so many serious problems that really need to be addressed! The more capable one becomes spiritually the more aware one becomes to the problems of this world and those adversely affected by them. Those who are the best trained spiritually have the least need to have or create a protected bubble to any degree shielding them from reality and those that are so strongly affected by this reality. A blissful cut-off state tends to strengthen delusional tendencies and weakens ones ability to handle or relate to the intense pain that comes with the serious problems that exists in this world, and therefore to see no spiritual need to act in some way to improve the really unhealthy conditions that exist here. The more one can handle pain, the more of the truth one can handle spiritually. Solving serious problems requires an ability to tune into the truth spiritually really really hard.
People who are fighting spiritually to maintain a protective “bubble” to some degree will find the need to cut off any conversation with others that threaten that bubble. People who are really capable spiritually can handle strong emotions of all kinds really well and do not cut off conversations with others because they can not handle these intense emotions and the problems often associated with them. People that have these protective “bubbles” will tend to be controlling and authoritarian in order not to deal with that which challenges their escapist(cut-off) state of being they desire to stay in. Those who defend the value of those who have protective bubbles will only do so if they have one themselves. Otherwise they would see how unhealthy it is spiritually for themselves and the others they impact in this world.
Those spiritual people that tend to break the bubbles that make people less effective at improving the conditions that exist in this world will really collide strongly with those who are protective of these bubbles. But we can not advance further spiritually in this world if we keep feeling a need to protect those spiritually who have these protective bubbles inside themselves which prevent them from seeing more of reality and the need to grow further spiritually in order to handle it better.
