Meditation is similar to other forms of exercise

Meditation is mostly a breathing exercise that can help one become stronger and more sensitive spiritually. Like any exercise one can become better at it and increase its degree of difficulty.

Meditation can be made more difficult. I developed very intense meditative walking and running techniques. It is hard to meditate when dealing with difficult emotions or situations, but that is when it can be the most effective. You can meditate on traumatic/toxic emotions from ones past and on anxiety about ones future. Meditation helps one handle the challenges of life so much better. But one has to have spiritual beliefs that helps one better cope with the reality that now exists in this world. The ability to focus with meditation on what one is dealing with right now is very important.
