I posted a lot on my thought related to recent events on facebook and wanted to somehow connect a lot of different posts I had there so they do not disappear over time there. I hope I was not too redundant!
Divisiveness is destroying this country! We have more than one political party for a reason. Trump at least went up against a system that had 2 parties that often had very little difference between them and he represented people who had been left out. He made a lot of people mad as a result. Going up against the status quo has consequences. His working class followers need to have a voice. Biden always acted like he represented these people, but he now seems to be controlled too much by globalists. He is not such a wonderful person either. The political choices we have are not that great in this spiritually backwards country and world. You wonder why I did not vote.
“Confirmation bias” can really distorts how someone witnesses or recount events. Often two different people account of the same event in a way that one will wonder how they can have such a different account of what happened and have such a different take on it. Here is a link to more on the meaning of “Confirmation Bias” which actually can be greatly exaggerated during times of crises where emotions are really high and one-sided perspectives dominate within the public and among media personalities: Confirmation bias – Wikipedia
There appears to be very different accounts on what happened the day the Capitol building was attacked. I have really seen an example here of how polarized emotions often shaped how different sides see what is happening. My intuition tends to have an equal distrust for how both sides in recent times tend to interpret what they are witnessing!
In the heat of the moment when what was happening was not that clear different people can see things quite differently. A thorough investigation into what actually happened will need to be done. A lot of chaos was happening and many different account will come out from differing perspectives. But being too quick to come to the wrong conclusions on both sides will only continue the polarization that is destroying this country. I do not trust how bias sources often tend to see things so differently. The truth is not that easy to find these days. So often an automatic spin comes from the fog of strong emotions distorting how people see what they are witnessing. I see more and more how backwards this world is spiritually and I tend to equally distrust both sides. I see the truth somewhere in the very complicated middle.
I have no problem with actual criminals no matter what political party they support facing the legal consequences of their actions. I will always look at all sides of issues and not be quick to demonize anyone no matter what side of the political divide they may be on. People have always been quick to see me in a bad light due to me being born neurologically different and very unique, so I am very sensitive to this tendency of people to discredit or demonize others.
We all have the right to peacefully protest in this country(USA). It is a shame that we could not adequately protect our Capitol from those who show up with criminal/violent intentions. I do not support violence done by anyone on either side of the political divide that shows up at protests where the vast majority have peaceful intent and who condemn that type of violence.
Ignoring or discrediting huge groups of people in a democracy is not healthy. Trump attracted his following for a reason. He stood up for people who felt ignored. A lot of them from the working class. They feel like they are looked down at by elitists. The democrats acted like their friends in the past, but did not really help them much. Jobs were sent overseas. “America first” appeals to them. They are not fans of globalists. I am an independent and not a supporter of either political party, so don’t attack me for seeing many sides to situations and not following a party line or talking points. Polarization is destroying this country along with big money that works hard to maintain their power an influence. Democracy only works if all sides are allowed to be heard and represented.
My political perspective has actually evolved over a period of time as the situation in this country has also evolved. I actually did vote for democrats when Trump had been President for 2 years. I felt like he came to Las Vegas as though he owned the place and the candidates I voted for presented themselves as being willing to work with Republicans. I even supported the impeachment investigation believing that the Democrats were just trying to find out more of the Truth. But, later I saw how extremely one sided the perspective of those pushing the investigation really was and found out the roots of the investigation was flawed and very partisan in nature. Then I started to see Trump in a different light especially when I felt he had learned from the experience. I tend to support the underdog over the overbearing people intoxicated too much by the power they have gotten. I identify with those who are treated unfairly as a result of a overly vengeful attitude.
I find it so difficult these days to find reliable unbiased news sources that actually try to represent all sides of issues and find it a shame that I must often go to “conservative” sources to find out more of what is really happening. I am really a practical progressive that want some serious but well thought out changes to help improve how our country and government functions in serving the best interests of all its citizens. We do need a more humane society. We need to try to make the most out of all of our human resources. We all need to be in a position to get the most out of our capabilities. I do respect hard work and do work extremely hard to get the most out of myself, so am very much into the value of getting the most out of what everyone has to offer.
I block or avoid people on internet sites who do not properly respect my extremely serious efforts to elevate the spiritual state this world is now in! I need to invest my spiritual energy where it can do the most good and not in those who refuse to see all sides and more of the complete picture!
Those who search for more of the truth often are ignored in times when toxic spiritual energy becomes more dominant. An unhealthy political environment can result. Hard lessons result when the truth is disregarded and delusions distort how a lot of people perceive reality. Reality and the crises/challenges that come with it can not be ignored without consequences and lessons that hopefully will be figured out and thus learned!
The spiritual is powered by emotions and toxic spiritual energy results when anger and other strong emotions cloud ones judgement and adversely affect ones words and behavior. In our overly polarized world a lot of toxic emotions are circulating right now. Seeing all sides of a situation and the whole picture clearly is not easy in these very challenging times. Crises result when people get too full of themselves to the point that they become really hostile and irrationally biased against those who see things differently from them! This is definitely a spiritually backwards world we now live in!
This was in response to someone that thinks Trump really wanted that tragedy at the Capitol to happen by ascribing very negative motives to him as those who demonize him tend to do: We would have to have an awful lot more prisons if your standard of criminality was applied. Both sides say things that inflame emotions that can be misconstrued by some overly self righteous people to have directed someone to violently break the law. Words are easily misinterpreted by some misguided people to mean quite differently than they were intended or how a rational person would interpret them. Irrational one sided toxic energy exist on both sides. Toxic people tend to see the world in a distorted one-sided perspective and are present on both extremes of the political spectrum. We do not need to have a police state where we must watch our words and thoughts to an extreme degree so that we do not get arrested for not thinking and speaking as the political party in power demands.
We really do not need a political system similar to the former Soviet Union where one party ruled, where Freedom of Speech is missing, propaganda is strongly present, and dissidents are treated really badly!
