Our ability to understand and connect to the physical reality we exist in enables us to advance further spiritually

In the modern age we understand the physical reality(as a result of hard science) we exist in a lot more than in the past.  This can give us quite an advantage when it comes to our ability to advance further in the spiritual area.  In the past, a lot of mythology existed that filled the void that existed due to the lack of hard knowledge about the world we existed in.  The religions(spiritual beliefs)of those times were very much limited by this lack of understanding of the physical world and the mythology  that existed then as a result.  Mythology can have an addicted affect and be hard to wean oneself from, since that which is programmed deeply within ones being is very difficult to alter!   Even today, people who see themselves as spiritual will often choose to disregard the value of credible scientists and buy into crazy/wild beliefs about the past or even the present that do not have enough hard facts to back them up.  Some people do not believe a man landed on the moon!  Others think past civilizations were as advanced as our present one!  Some people even believe aliens from outer space have had a lot of impact on our recent technological  advancements!  Often people will choose to quickly believe extreme(not very well researched) views about this reality  from those that are not accepted by the body of the most credible hard scientists.

Often religious/spiritual people will devalue the spiritual importance of the physical world they now exist in and depend on.  People who devalue the importance of the physical, not only will have trouble developing the will power to get their physical body in a really fit/health state with the improved brain function(including the spiritual/emotional parts of the brain), but also will have trouble having enough will power to take on and find ways to better deal with the very serious problems that exist on this Earth!  This physical world provide the necessary resistance to challenge us spiritually, and to test and develop our spiritual strength and awareness.  The physical world functions in a rational way,  and demands people to develop a higher degree of sanity in order to better understand it and function in it.

Mythology can very much infer with being logical/rational and sane.    It is true that the images we create and project spiritual can come alive and have a lot of spiritual impact.  These spiritual  images can become strong enough to be seen and even show up on film, but they are still spiritual manifestations, not physical ones and one has to be careful  to see them for what they really are. Often religions generate a lot of images(through the power of belief) that help to guide and inspire them spiritually to living a better life.  The spiritual is not concrete, so we must do the best we can to understand it using what images function the best when challenged by a logical physical world that we must contend with in order to grow further spiritually.

Some people will put animals and their pets on the same level spiritually as their fellow humans.  But, animals can not understand hard science enough to use it to help them function on a higher spiritual level.  But, that is not a problem for those that do not see the extra value of the human brain has in its capability to understand the physical world around them and affect it.  Even humans vary a lot in their ability to spiritually connect to the physical reality they exist in on a more advanced intellectual level.  Some people tend to dismiss the importance of the human mind spiritually and its ability to use reason to improve how one is able to functions spiritual.  But, without our ability to reason things out a lot better than animals can, the distance between us an animals become a lot less significant spiritually.  We need to have more of our spiritual focus on our fellow human beings and the serious problems that they face and create in this world.  We need to be careful about overly focusing on animals spiritually.  It is hard to connect with humans since they are very complicated,  but we must become better at this, if we are to improve on the spiritual state this world is in.

When it comes to developing better spiritual beliefs which are required in order to become a lot more developed and aware spiritually, only humans(on this planet)can do this, and then test them as to how well they help one to perform in this challenging resistant physical world we exist in.  Only humans can use really advanced meditative/spiritual-physical techniques/exercises to improve their physical/spiritual(emotional) health and will power.  Only humans can put themselves through extremely challenging physical-spiritual training that can test how well their beliefs function in helping one handle and perform when put in extremely challenging physical/spiritual states.  Physical-spiritual training helps one to better handle the toughest  physical-spiritual challenges life can present to us and to make sure one has beliefs that are good enough to help one handle these challenges.   Diet and physical exercise(especially cardiovascular) are also important as part of a physical-spiritual training program.   When one is really strong and aware spiritually, one will be well tuned into ones body and able to better do that which is  best for its physical and spiritual well being.  One proves how capable one is spiritually by how effective one can function in this very challenging physical world which is so full of serious/challenging problems that need to be better addressed.

The type of dumbbell swings I do, how they train the body, and their physical-spiritual purpose

This note was in response to questions a person posed to me on a spiritual site.

This exercise does not create large muscles which is why I weigh only 125 lbs at 5′ 10″ tall.  It is mainly a cardiovascular exercise helping my heart and circulation to be really in top form.  When I take the dumbbell behind my head/neck, and then lift it back over, I do use my triceps.  I started doing this when I had been doing a pushup challenge, and decided it was better just to extend my dumbbell swing to behind my head instead.  It is complicated, but this change in my dumbbell swings made them even better at putting me in extremely intense and difficult physical/spiritual states which is why I do them.

The type of modified dumbbell swing exercise that I do is mainly an endurance exercise.  It does keep a lot of muscles well toned!  It does use the neck muscles above the shoulders a lot, which I believe is very valuable since these muscles are so close to the brain.  I use these neck muscles as a focal point when doing my meditative runs and walks, and even use them a lot with my stretching exercises. I do believe the development of the spiritual parts of the brain related to emotion and sleep are essential to one spiritual strength and awareness.  I do tend to focus on these parts of my brain when meditating and exercising.  My lower back has hurt at times, but I just have to regularly stretch my back(especially when doing my meditative walks) in order to prevent muscle tightness there which I believe causes the problem.

A lot of people my age and even younger tend to have a lot of aches and pains.  I am doing very well keeping myself extremely healthy physically and spiritually and avoiding any injuries that could harm my progress in this area.  I am good at this because I have had an extreme spiritual focus on health and fitness my whole life and have become really tuned into my body and can read it really well as a result.  I will not go into the reasons for my extreme motivations in this area and why I feel I do things that others would be unwilling or unable to do because they would see no reason to do it based on their beliefs, and the fact that they can survive well enough to meet their spiritual/physical needs without having to deal with the extreme emotional/spiritual duress involves in developing and performing such exercises!

1/25/17 I deepened the squat to these modified(bent elbows and behind head) 2 handed dumbbell swings so that they would take a little longer so that I could breath in and 15 times during the whole 6 minutes.  I need a huge amount of spiritual intensity to reach a world that is so backward spiritually and so stuck in its ways!

  • 10/03/17  Now doing the squat a lot deeper bringing the 20 lb dumbbell close to my knees with my head also brought down at the lower part of the swing to be very close to the dumbbell also with my elbows very bent while at this lowest position.  My head does follow the dumbbell up as it rises and then is lifted over the head and behind it.  I may seem like quite a convoluted form of dumbbell swing, but it works well to put me into the most intense of spiritual states possible!  I now do 19 to 21 in and out breaths per dumbbell swing.  Extremely hard exercise to do which I can only do as a result of all my previous exercise training, my spiritual theories(astrology system) that help me tune my body in really well  spiritually, my other meditative training techniques, and my diet!

My purpose and the purpose of the intense meditative and cardiovascular exercise I do.

I do really intense meditative and cardiovascular(heart&circulation)exercises that I designed to be as difficult physically and spiritually as possible.  I have been doing these exercises(meditative walking, running, and 13 minutes non-stop 2 handed 20lb non-stop (modified) dumbbell swing cardio exercise for a long time(from 2&1/2 years  with the dumbbell swings, to decades of running and meditative walking).   It takes a long time to get improve techniques and to get really good at it!  The desire for instant gratification really works against any successful spiritual/physical training program. I do stretching and warm up exercises before my more intense early morning exercise routines that involve running and again afterwards when it come to my extremely intense dumbbell swing routine.  I do stretch my back a number of times during my meditative walking/running routines.  I have to be on a really strict diet with supplements to help my body to handle this extremely demanding exercise routine.   I can not cover this all in detail here.  Here is a link to one of my word press blog post you may need to copy and past it into your browser:  https://astrogoodwin.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/my-type-of-meditation…

I do not really enjoy the exercises themselves since they are really hard to do.  But, I do enjoy the results I feel I am getting from them.  It is hard to bring different spiritual ideas to a world in which certain spiritual ideologies and mind-sets dominate.  I am still struggling to find not only a way to continue to survive in this world, but a way to contribute as best I can in the spiritual area where my abilities are really concentrated in.  My motivation is very much into helping to transform the spiritual shape this Earth is in.  Individuals tend to reflect the spiritual state of the social circles they are connected with.  I am one of the very few spiritually independent type spirits and tend to be very cut off from others spiritually.  I find people tend to fear anything unfamiliar to them spiritually which will affect how they intuitively respond to me.  I have to get so strong spiritually that I can overcome this resistance to me and to the type of spiritual energy/ideas I represent.  I have to know the dynamics of what I am dealing with, so that I can train in a way to overcome the dynamics that are impeding my progress in reaching other people on the level I require in order to be effective in this world.

This world will be facing some very challenging times in the future due to its resistance to progress/advancement in the spiritual area.  A lot of people are not in very good physical/spiritual(emotional) shape on this planet which really limits our collective ability to handle the extremely serious problems that come with the highly technologically advanced age we have just entered.  Our financial and political systems need to be improved if we are to better deal more effectively with these serious problems we have here on this Earth.  All is rooted in the spiritual, so we must first advance in the spiritual area in order to make further needed progress in other areas.

Running/cardiovascular exercise, injuries and interpreting pain

Very hard to figure out how much one can safely get away in regard to a body part that is hurt to some degree and letting you know this through pain. General muscle soreness feels different than a very targeted pain in a specific body part. It is important to figure out what the problem might be, before accessing whether one can still exercise. I would monitor what ever pain I was feeling very carefully when warming up or exercising on a less intense level in order to evaluate exactly what I can safely get away with without aggravating the problem. One has to depend on a certain intuitive sense. Often an injury is not that serious and leaves one with enough strength to exercise on a less intense level or in a different way that avoids using the injured part as much.

I once got an impact injury to my knee when running a 1/2 marathon trail race, but finished the race before the knee really started hurting. I had built up a lot of weekly mileage that I did not want to lose, and thought that since my body had finished the race after the impact injury okay, that I should be able to run on that injury somehow. So, I would take quite a while to warm up while my knee was in a lot of pain, but once warmed up the pain would be a lot less so I would run carefully continuing with similar amount of weekly mileage. I would ice down my knee afterwards. It took about a month to heal. I had run with knee injuries before while healing them, but never one that had that much pain involved.

I am now dealing with pain in my lower back, but am managing to control this while continuing my exercise routine, but must constantly stretch my back, since I believe it is muscle tightness that causes the area to become more inflamed. This strategy seems to be working. I feel one can often intuitively sense how much tension an injured/hurt body part can handle, and how to limit ones exercise in order to protect it.

Often, I feel when one overdoes ones exercise the body chemistry will be affected(may become more acidic)and in turn can inflame a vulnerable body part making it more subject to being injured/hurt. I feel one needs to gain the ability to read your body cues so one can adjust ones intensity so as to better avoid harming oneself physically in some way. I find extra breathing often helps and often focusing more on ones upper body movements often helps one protect ones legs. It is such a fine line between pushing ones limits and going beyond ones limits and harming oneself. One just has to focus an awful lot on what is happening with ones body when one exercises. Focusing too much on other things while exercising can lessen ones ability to pick up the subtle signals the body is sending you. The more you focus on what signals the body is sending you the better you become at interpreting them.

I must state that can be very risky to not have certain(non-minor) injuries check out by medical professionals to determine their cause and what treatment would be advisable in order to help fix and properly rehabilitate them..

Takes lots of work and spiritual training to better figure out what sources are reliable.

I strongly believe that the inhabitants of this Earth are responsible for any technological or spiritual advances that happen here, NOT ALIENS COMING HERE IN FLYING SAUCERS. I strongly believe UFO’s are still unidentified flying objects. There is so much misinformation(from unreliable sources)  on the internet. Not enough sites exist that work at debunking these unreliable sources, but some reliable sources can be found with enough effort. One has to work hard to develop really good spiritual radar, so that one can better figure out what sources of information are more reliable. One can train oneself spiritually to gain a stronger spiritual connection with reality so one will not be taken in by crazy theories that have little reliable facts to support them.

I am very much into spiritual beliefs that enhance ones focus on making a positive difference here on this Earth.  Any beliefs that forces from outside this Earth are playing an important role in helping us develop technologically or spiritually devalues our own efforts in this area, and takes away from us developing the very intense spiritual focus required to tackle the serious problems that exist here.   All beliefs take up our energy and affect how well we can focus spiritually.   We need spiritual beliefs that appreciate the amazing things the inhabitants of the Earth are able to achieve and that do not quickly accept that some outside force will bail them out when they do not work hard enough to deal with the problems that exist here.   A lot of beliefs circulating on this planet are crazy and based on unreliable information and tend to be distractions from one gaining the even stronger spiritual attunement and focus required in the very challenging age we exist in.   When few facts exist or unreliable information is put forth, all kinds of crazy conspiracy theories can be developed by people who allow their imagination to go wild.  We all are deluded to a degree, since it is impossible to gain a perfect spiritual grip on the truth.  It takes a lot of work to gain the spiritual character required in order to be able to obtain a stronger spiritual grip on the physical reality we exist in.   The people who have really struggled in this world and are really connected with the serious problems that exist here are less likely to be attracted by beliefs that have more fantasy in them than reality.   Often in times of crisis one is forced to improve ones spiritual beliefs so as to gain a stronger spiritual grip on reality or not be able to survive!  Pain and hardship tends to often go with gaining a better grip on reality.

My spiritual training program which includes very difficult meditative and cardiovascular exercises is geared to helping one be able to handle spiritually(emotionally extremely difficult(uncomfortable) physical-spiritual states.  Here is a link to the type of meditative mind-body exercises I do:

The strongly believe that the stronger we develop our physical-spiritual connection, the more we are able to connect spiritually with the challenging physical reality we exist in.

History/Evolution of my Overhead 2-handed (modified)20 lb Dumbbell Swing Exercise Routine

WARNING:  This is an extremely intense exercise routine which requires a lot of fitness to do!  Do it at your own risk. Check with your medical doctor if you have any conditions that could make this routine unsafe before attempting this.  I started out this dumbbell swing routine while already in very good physical condition.  This exercise was designed for those with an extreme spiritual-physical  focus, awareness, and expertise(capability) required to safely handle the years of intense physical-spiritual training involved!

Before October of 2012, I had been doing some 40 lb overhead 2 handed (modified) dumbbell swings as part of my workout, but had not been increasing then in number. Doing them 3 days a week. I then in October 2012 I started increasing the number of them I could do starting at 8 of them at the beginning of the Month. I was at 19 of them at the end of the Month, and at 45 by the end of November and at 81 at the end of the year(2012). I was planning to work up to being able to do 100 of them nonstop. But, when I reached 91 of them, at the end of January 2013, I felt it was unsafe to do so many of them. So to avoid possible injury, I decided to limit them to 50(40 lb ones) and then do as many 20 lb overhead dumbbell swings as I could without stopping with a very quick transition from 40 lb dumbbells to 20 lb ones.

By the end of June 2013 I was doing 7 minutes of this routine nonstop and at the end of 2013, I was at 19 minutes nonstop. I then cut back to doing 17 minutes of this routine until July 2014, when I added a small meal of salted oatmeal to fuel my routine rather doing it on an empty stomach and started to increase the nonstop minutes of these dumbbell swings again. I was up to 20 minutes nonstop of them by the end of this month and up to 36 minutes of them nonstop by the end of August. Then at this point I decided to do them a little more intensely/rapidly which cut down the number I could do to 14 minutes nonstop.

One of my latest change in my dumbbell swing routine happened recently(12 January 15) when I hurt my right side of my lower back that really hurt right after I completed the 40 lb dumbbell swing and was transitioning to the 20 lb ones. I completed the routine while having some pain thinking it was only a cramp, but the pain did not go completely away. That was when I decide to eliminate the 40 lb dumbbell swings from my routine since they could only be done anaerobically with the muscle pain(burn from lactic acid build-up)) created by this state which made me less able to read my body so as to prevent injuries. The 20 lb overhead dumbbell swing could be done aerobically without building up lactic acid, so made it easier to do them really intensely while avoiding injury.

The routine has not gotten easier with 14 nonstop minutes of 20 lb 2 handed overhead(as modified from standard dumbbell swing in the way shown on the video). I feel it has actually gotten more difficult to do, since I now can do them a little more intensely than when I started with the 50 40 lb dumbbell swings. I now continue to do the dumbbell swing routine 3 days a week(very early in the morning 4:15 AM) with stretching before and after and warm up and cool down followed by a 1 mile slow meditative run, and on the other 4 days of the week(4:15 AM) I do a 2 mile run starting out more intensely and ending in a slow meditative run. I do a meditative walk of close to a mile every day in the evening.

2/13/15  I am now doing all 14 minutes of my 2-handed overhead 20 lb nonstop modified dumbbell swings with the extension behind the head and then back over the head again. This change makes it fit the description of the “barbarian dumbbell swing”.

2/16/15  I am now doing this exercise more intensely so can only last 13 minutes nonstop.  I have been doing this exercise with more and more of it done with my eyes closed, to the point that now my eyes are closed most of the time when doing it.  I now breath in and out 4 times per dumbbell swing.  By comparison, I do breath in and out with every step when doing my meditative walks and runs!

2/27/15  This is my current dumbbell swing routine: 3 days a week at 4:15 AM, I do stretching for about 5 minutes, then some light weightlifting(warmed up using 20 lb dumbbell and arms for about 2 minutes doing all types of movements a few times in standing position), then do dumbbell swings, then brief cool down with 5 lb dumbbells and 5 minutes of stretching, followed by a slow meditative run, and end with a very short slow meditative walk: about a mile covered in total. I do as many 2-handed overhead modified(bending elbows when lifting dumbbell overhead, limited squat, and extended to behind head) 20 lb dumbbell swings as I could do in a total of 13 minutes nonstop! I am in slow motion the last(13th) minute due to fatigue! I do these with my eyes closed most of the time while breathing in and out 6 times with each dumbbell swing. I do move my head looking down on the high part of the swing and looking up when on the low side of the swing.

1/30/16  I am now doing this routine, but with a few changes!  I do it at about 5:30 everyday now, and do only 8 minutes of the nonstop type of dumbbell swings I do.  I found out they are called “barbarian dumbbell swings”.  I do them more intensely, so I burn out faster and last less long.  Short intense cardio has been found to be a very effective exercise provided one is fit enough to handle them!

5/26/16  I am now doing this exercise for 6 nonstop minutes but due to the meditative breathing I use and the intensity that come with it, this exercise is actually rougher to do than when I was doing it anytime in the past.  I feel like I have continuously made progress in the direction of making this exercise more difficult for the body and spirit to handle.  The last minute of this exercise is done in slow motion due to fatigue.  I breath in and out 6 to 8 times with most swings and as much as 10 times with a few.  This rapid breathing(over-breathing)makes this exercise more meditative and rough to handle spiritually and physically.  But, my goal was always to make this exercise rougher than anyone else could handle, which I feel I have succeeded in doing.  My new Astrology system and the spiritual beliefs/theories that come with it enable me to handle reality on an extremely rough level, which is what this spiritual-physical exercise creates when done the way I do it!  I am not training to be an athlete, but to be able to perform spiritually on an extremely high level.

6/21/16  I have recently got more intense with my breathing technique.  I start out breathing in and out 10 times per swing(about one minute), then do all but the last minute breathing in and out 8 times, and then do the last minute slower due to fatigue while breathing in and out 9 times.  This meditative type breathing technique makes this exercise extremely difficult/torturous to do spiritually.

2/2/17  Added a 3/4 of mile run to my daily routine after over a year off from running.

3/5/17 I am now doing this exercise only 3 days a week and running 3/4 of a mile intensely 3 days a week on days I am not doing the dumbbell swings.  Started running after a year off on 2/2/17 and did it for 31 straight days to get in running shape as soon as possible!

3/16/17 Decided to go back to doing both the intense dumbbell swings exercise and the intense 3/4 of a mile run every day!

  • 5/19/17  Now doing the squat a lot deeper bringing the 20 lb dumbbell close to my knees with my head also brought down at the lower part of the swing to be very close to the dumbbell also with my elbows very bent while at this lowest position.  My head does follow the dumbbells up as it rises and then is lifted over the head and behind it.  I may seem like quite a convoluted form of dumbbell swing, but it works well to put me into the most intense of spiritual states possible!  I now do 17 in and out breaths per dumbbell swing.  Extremely hard exercise to do which I can only do as a result of all my previous exercise training, my spiritual theories(astrology system) that help me tune my body in really well  spiritually, my other meditative training techniques, and my diet!
  • 6/3/17  New exercise routine: 6 min 20 lb Dumbbell swings= Mo, We,&Fr. 3/4 of a mile run=Tu, Th, Sa, &Su. Should maintain fitness and continue to improve my running!
  • 10/16/17  Taking one day on the weekend off, so meditative running(breathing in and out with each step) only 3 day a week!  Now breathing in and out 21 times per dumbbell swing!
  • 6/9/18  Replaced this dumbbell swing exercise with this new exercise due to damaging my right arm and dislocating its shoulder the night before Easter(APR 1, 2018).  Up to 3 minutes of this nonstop with 16 breaths in and out per individual exercise movement!  Here is a link demonstrating it created when I first started doing it:

This physical reality of the type that exists on this Earth I believe is spiritually inescapable.

This is how I responded to a forum post at a spiritual site titled “The Earth is too negative” in which some one posted the popular belief that we should focus on escaping the cycle of reincarnation:

I believe reincarnation is a vital part of our reality. I do not see any need to attempt to escape from it. I believe the spirit requires a body in a challenging physical world in order to function at its best. I feel too many spiritual beliefs systems devalue(through the types of beliefs they accept) the importance of a challenging physical world(like the Earth)is to individual spirits like us. So I tailor my spiritual beliefs to make the physical(including having a link to an organic functioning body with function brain and spiritual center in it) indispensable to the spirit. I make sure I have no part of my being desiring anything other than existing and performing well spiritually in a challenging physical world which the Earth is the one I currently am on/in. I believe that the spiritual beliefs that are better at helping us focus and perform spiritually in this challenging physical world we exist right now will be the one closest to the truth.

I do extremely intense and difficult meditative and cardiovascular physical/spiritual exercises that put me in and train me to be able to handle the roughest physical/spiritual states(a sort of spiritual crisis training) that are possible for me. Since I have been focusing on increasing the strength of my spiritual-physical connection though this type of training for a very long time, I am very strong spiritually in connecting with and dealing with this physical reality I exist in right now. My spiritual focus is on improving on the spiritual beliefs and training techniques that exist on this Earth not agreeing with them. I have to have spiritual beliefs/programming that enables me to handle the really heavy doses of reality my training and the conditions that exist in this challenging physical world I exist in provide. As my training has improved and I have gotten better at it, my spiritual beliefs had to also improve so that I had the right mindset required to be motivated to do them and handle them. One can deal with an awful lot if one has spiritual beliefs that are good enough to motivate one to put up with the intense discomfort and difficulty that comes with really challenging spiritual-physical type training. One can train oneself spiritually to be a lot better able to handle and take on in a positive way the huge spiritual challenges that exist on this planet.

I realize that having a spiritual belief system that is constantly being updated with a focus on improving on the spiritual beliefs now existing, dominating and spiritually impacting this planet will not “resonate” well with those who are attached in a sort of unquestioning acceptance of some of those prevalent spiritual beliefs systems which often have popular websites one can visit on the internet in order to have ones spiritual beliefs supported and reinforced. I am a spiritual independent free to find/develop the best spiritual beliefs I am able without being held back by some “perfect” autocratic type spiritual ideology that is blindly accepted in a world where perfect spiritual sources/connections are believed to exist.

The transforming spiritual value of deep thought

I was doing my morning run in which I try keep my eyes close a lot of the time and my mind quiet so I can really focus on my breathing and putting myself in a spiritual state, but since this is very difficult and important spiritual thoughts about beliefs I need to improve on will tend to be forced to the surface while in this intense spiritual state, I did spend a good portion of the run and the slow meditative run afterwards in deep thought. Interesting enough I was thinking about the importance of questioning and thinking about ways to improve on ones beliefs.

Everyone has some type of spiritual programming/beliefs that guides their spirit. Some people will choose not to disturb what ever spiritual programming/beliefs they already have. Some will tend to be overly tolerant and will accept all sorts of spiritual beliefs/information no matter how wild or impractical with out needing good evidence of some kind for their validity or effectiveness. People will often only accept spiritual information that resonate with them, which means they will usually accept only that which is in harmony with the spiritual programming/beliefs they already have, unless they have been questioning the validity of some of their beliefs and are looking for better answers as a result. Often when people accept spiritual beliefs/information that is new to them it will take a little time to adjust to and will take some getting use to. They will have to in a sense try them out and see how well they work in improving how they are doing spiritually in their life.

Those who choose to not allow their mind to be actively exploring ways to improve on their spiritual beliefs, will be stuck with the spiritual beliefs they have already programmed into them. There are a lot of spiritual ideologies that have a lot of adherents on this Earth that are well programmed usually at a very young age into their belief system. Often these spiritual ideologies have a very authoritarian flavor to them and discourage any questioning of them. They often believe that they already have the perfect spiritual truth or that the perfect spiritual truth is readily accessible within people without any need to question or think deeply about. Spiritual beliefs that can not be questioned so that they can be changed in a way to improve on them will be “addictive” in nature. Often these addictive type spiritual ideologies will represent their beliefs as being the only ones that represent “the truth” and this will give them a sort of drug like high, that is not the same as how one tends to feel good as a result of having spiritual beliefs that are actually helping them make a positive spiritual difference in this world. . Often people will project their “ego” energy into their spiritual ideology and the group associated with it. When one is constantly working hard to improve on ones spiritual beliefs/programming by constantly questioning it, thinking deeply about it, and trying to find/develop better spiritual beliefs, and then testing them out in ones life, one will be working hard not to keep from being “addicted” to the type of “authoritarian” type spiritual beliefs that tend to be quite prevalent on this Earth at this time.

I have not ever found that I have come up with better spiritual beliefs or did productive deep spiritual thinking using a form of stationary meditation, although I do stationary type meditation for other spiritual reasons. One often will find thinking works better when walking or even running. I find that it is very important to do forms of active meditation that will have a tendency to make the mind more active. One does have to shut down the mind in order to focus hard enough on the form of meditation(meditative exercise)one is doing so as to deepen the meditative/spiritual state one is in. But, one will find that if ones spiritual beliefs are not good enough to help one to handle the really intense meditative state one is in, that they will surface and disturb ones concentration and ability to maintain as deep/intense a spiritual state. Also, one often needs to do the required thinking to process some of the spiritual ideas one has recently dealt with often through interactions with others. But, luckily, one can still stay in a meditative state that is not so demanding that the mind needs to shut down, and then do quite a bit of deep productive spiritual thinking geared to improve ones spiritual beliefs or sorting them out while in that meditative state. The mind can better stay quiet for extended periods while in a very difficult/challenging meditative/spiritual state(that active type meditation creates) when it has spiritual beliefs that can help one to handle these spiritual states. Life’s challenges will often put one in very challenging spiritual/emotional states that will be similar to those one can get into through intense meditative exercises. Spiritual training should be geared to helping one perform better in this very challenging physical world we exist in right now with all of the serious problems it can present for us to try to effectively deal with.

I understand we live in a world in which a lot of people have gotten use to a lot of permissiveness and tend to desire instant gratification. That hard spiritual work and really deep thinking may not appeal to them. But we are not going to transform this Earth into a lot better place to exist in spiritually, if we do not develop more spiritual backbone. Spiritual training takes time to get good at. One can not instantly become really strong and aware spiritually. Spiritual will power will get stronger as one keeps using it with more and more intensity.

The different types of spirits

I was thinking about this when doing my really intense and difficult meditative run. I do stay quiet and concentrate really hard during a good portion of my meditative run, but I can not keep my mind quiet the whole time. Spiritual beliefs that I need to further improve on will tend to come to the surface when in the intense spiritual state the meditative run puts me in.

I will start with us, the individual spirits who play a specific unique spiritual roles in a specific locations in our vast universe. Individual spirits are the prime spiritual activists in the universe and can have a very strong spiritual impact on the part of the world they are able to influence. They must do the inner work required to build up their spiritual strength and awareness in order to improve the type of spiritual influence they have over their immediate environment and on those other spirits/people they interact with. Individual spirits can only be really effective at having a positive and healing impact on the challenging physical world that they are part of, if they themselves are really healthy physically and spiritually. One can not handle the stress of taking on a heavy spiritual workload if ones body is not really healthy. Spiritual strength comes from overcoming the resistance that only a challenging physical world can provide. One can develop ones spiritual strength and awareness by: 1. Training to be able to really intense meditative exercises(which can include meditation in all sorts of positions, slow meditative walking, slow meditative running, and meditative stretching or other slow movement exercises). Really good meditative and physical exercises should help one to handle really intense emotions of all kinds which is important because emotions power the spiritual and one needs to learn to handle all of the spectrum of emotions really well so that one can direct their energy in a positive direction. 2. Working hard at maintaining a really healthy diet designed to work really well for you with what ever nutritional supplements one finds helps. Frequent small meals and keeping one in a challenging healthy hunger range will tend to sharpen up ones spiritual energy and keep it serious. It is a really fine line between being really healthy physically and spiritually and overdoing it and harming oneself. 3. and do the really deep spiritual thinking required to find/develop better spiritual beliefs. It is hard to improve on the spiritual beliefs that already have quite a bit of influence in this world. Newer beliefs have less psychic support in this world so need to be a lot better than those that came before them. Intense and difficult meditative and physical training will sort of force one to have to improve on ones spiritual beliefs so that one can better handle the challenging spiritual/physical state they put one in.  Individual spirits always need a physical connection to the world that only a brain properly trained spiritually can provide, so between lives they must connect to kindred spirits incarnated in a physical world with a brain functioning spiritually on the level they are on in order to maintain their existence until they reincarnate again.

Next, there are the collective spirits, that come into existence and are maintained by the power of belief of the individual spirits that believe strongly in them. Every beliefs system in this world will create/maintain a collective spirit or spirits. Collective spirits that support belief systems may come in may forms/images/personalities.   The spiritual images these collective spirits appear as or support can appear as a visible image at times to the point a picture can actually be taken of them, but they still are spiritual, not physical in nature.  People can often misread things that are spiritual manifestations as physical manifestations and take on  delusional beliefs as a result.  Sometimes a beliefs system may not have a real image representing the collective spirit they have supporting them and may not even think one exists, but that does not matter, since strong beliefs automatically produce collective spirits. Science does tend to create a collective spirit representing its present beliefs. Some collective spirits are used as intermediaries to try to get a better connection with God(the universal spirit). Hypnotism will tend to connect the hypnotist and his client to the collective spirit that represents the beliefs that support their type of hypnotism and will impel the results they desire. The imagination will often do a really good job of doing what it takes to support a particular belief with the help of this collective spirit. Both channeling and hypnotism are very similar and both rely on the collective spirit that support the beliefs required for them to please those they serve. Collective spirits are only as good as the spiritual beliefs that maintain their existence and only function through individuals as well as the spiritual state of that individual allows. Both hypnotism and channeling are not perfect, and will tend to resonate only with those who support the beliefs of the collective spirit that helps to power their results. Hypnotism has been shown to create false memories and has been used to see future lives which is not possible since they have not happened yet. The future is open to being changed for the better spiritually through our actions, which is what gives us our spiritual purpose.

Then there is the universal spirit(God). Our physical/spiritual reality requires a spirit that makes it tun mechanically in a way that it can provide a good enough habitat for individual spirits like us to be able to function really well spiritually. When a spirit is needed it will exist out of this need and its existence will be supported by those who require it. Our reality could not function well with out a God that enables this functioning. Some people think that individual spirits like us are God. But, we may function with the mechanics of our reality, and we may become quite good at it, but we will never be able to perform the immense spiritual role God performs. We are limited spiritually by the specific location that we are strongly attached to by means of the body we are incarnated in. Our abilities as individual spirits are not as universal as God, but are very unique and specific to our individual role we have. No one person(individual spirit)can see the whole picture spiritually well enough to become God, because of our need to see the specific individual picture that helps us perform our specific role in the specific area we are located and in the specific area of expertise our existence in a physical world and time demands from us. As we train really hard spiritually-physically and increase our ability to handle a heavier dose of reality and the intense emotions that come with it, we will be able to develop a stronger connection with God.

In astrology, the Moon represents the inner individual spirit, Neptune represents the outer individual group spirit, and the Galactic Center(universal spirit) represents God.

The individual spirit does not contain a perfect spiritual source within.

I strongly disagree with the spiritual belief that tends to be quite dominant in some spiritual circles that a perfect spiritual source is available within oneself spiritually that can be tapped so as to magically come up with the spiritual truth or used to help one reach a part of oneself that is already extremely advanced spiritually. Some people automatically believe that they have within themselves a “higher self”, or “divine self”. People will often believe their heart or intuition can not lead them in the wrong direction. That somehow they automatically have within them perfect spiritual radar that will only direct them in the best direction for them spiritually. But, anyone that has a realistic spiritual connection with this physical reality we exist in will find that people’s intuition can often is quite wrong and their heart can often lead them into harmful circumstance and relationships.

I do not feel that we have a lot of people who are that effective spiritually on the planet Earth, and that this results in spiritual/physical conditions existing here that are far from ideal. We have so many serious problems in this world that are rooted very strongly in the spiritual inadequacies of the spirits incarnated here. The news is full of examples of human beings acting really badly spiritually. As a planet advances in its technology, it needs its inhabitants to also advance further spiritually, in order to handle the impact of this technology and direct it in a positive way, so as to make life on this planet even better/healthier. In more primitive/simple times, less spiritual maturity/competence was required in order to handle the issues that they faced.

It is hard to improve on the spiritual beliefs originating in the past that dominate this planet, if people feel no need to improve on their spiritual beliefs/programming. If one believes that a perfect spiritual self is already within oneself, why would one be motivated to improve on ones spiritual beliefs/programming? Why would one do the hard spiritual training, deep spiritual thinking, and experimentation(trial and error) required to improve ones spiritual beliefs so as to improve the spiritual state/shape one is in.

A lot of people in this world are attracted to spiritual permissiveness and instant gratification. They are not much interested in developing higher spiritual standards with all the time and work required in order to acquire these standards and the dealing with the heavier responsibilities that come with them. It is so much easier to believe that all beliefs are okay for those who believe in them. One can not have high spiritual standards, if one tolerates low spiritual standards and the spiritual beliefs that create them.

It is not easy to improve the spiritual state one is in, so as improve how one is able to function in this world. Ones intuition(spiritual radar)can be improved as one develops a better understanding of how the spiritual works and reprograms ones spirit and subconscious mind with spiritual beliefs more in tune spiritually with reality. This physical reality that God(the universal spirit)provides us with can work very much to our benefit, provided we make the effort to gain a stronger spiritual connection to it. The physical provides resistance and challenges us. Only a physical world can really test how well our spiritual beliefs will hold up and help us perform when really tested. Really good spiritual belief will help one to tune into this physical world really well spiritually, and will help us develop a lot stronger physical-spiritual connection.

It takes a lot of spiritual discipline/character to advance further spiritually. It is hard work to do the deep spiritual thinking required in order to be able to acquire/develop more advanced spiritual beliefs that will be more effective in helping one hang in there spiritually, and deal with the really tough challenges of our times. So many of the popular spiritual beliefs diminish the importance of this physical reality to our spirit and believe the spirit can escape from it temporarily or permanently in the future. A lot of spiritual beliefs have a drug like effect that makes one feel good by helping one disconnect from this physical reality we exist in and the heavy responsibilities that come with it. One does not get healthier from escaping from this reality, one gets healthier though conditioning oneself physically and spiritually to be able to handle any challenges that it can provide. Trying to escape from this world spiritually will make one weaker not stronger spiritually. One will feel better when one is healthier physically and spiritually and able to handle a lot, and able to contribute what ones has to offer to this world. One will feel really good about oneself as a result of helping to make this world a better place.

Part of ones spiritual beliefs need to include the importance of the type of spiritual training that improves ones physical-spiritual connection and so as to be able to handle a heavier dose of reality. Meditative exercises, such as meditative walking and running can be done is such a way that they are very difficult to do both physically and spiritually(emotionally). I have a blog on meditative walking and running on this site. Cardiovascular exercise can help one to gain the physical health required to be able to handle the stress that taking on a lot spiritually can create on the physical body. Stretching and some weightlifting can help one to exercise really hard with less injuries. One can not push oneself really hard physically and spiritually if one does not have a diet(with nutritional supplements)that is good enough to help one do them. Losing excess weigh can help one to get healthier physically and spiritually. Being hungry some of the time help one to become sharper spiritually. One can learn to handle a safe range of hunger so that one will get tougher and sharper spiritually. Being overly indulgent is not healthy for you both physically and spiritually. If one is strong and aware spiritually one should be able to have a positive spiritual impact on ones physical body and the physical world one exists in.
