It is not easy improving on ones spiritual beliefs/understanding. One needs to first train oneself physically and spiritually to be able to handle more of what is true spiritually. Then one has to do the deep thinking required to develop or find better spiritual beliefs. Then one has to test how well those new beliefs help one to be more tuned into this challenging physical reality one exists in right now. A lot of trial and error and hard work is involved in improving anything, including ones spiritual beliefs.
